Today I drafted my basic bodice sloper into a basic princess seam bodice. I found instructions by googling. Basically, you cut out both darts, and then rotate your bust dart down from a slash in the armhole, then add your seam allowances. The muslin fit well and I am pleased. Next I will attempt to change this into a shoulder princess seam. I need a shoulder princess seam to make a pinafore dress!

O,Project Runway? We'll probably get the latest season next year......we are SO behind the times in NZ! Love the show though, just don't get to see much of it! that Becky Ross looks freakin' right up our alley (oooer!)!!!
XXXXXXXXXXXX
I'll have to google that too! I just made a dress with bust darts, and it was a sack, so I added some waist darts (there was no waist seam), and now there's extra fabric in the skirt in the center 1/3. I looked at it and said, if those darts went all the way to the hem I'd get rid of that extra, and if they went up all the way....but I wasn't sure how to turn horizontal darts into vertical seams!
