HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
A Matching purse to go with! The bodice is pretty close to the Skully Dress prototype. I made the v neck a bit less severe in this version. The neckline and armholes are finished with self facings/light fusible interfacing to keep the shape. The skirt is another old Simplicity pattern with pattern alterations to accommodate the bootyliciousness. It's hard to see but there are waist darts, bust darts, and back darts.
Went with a black lace bottom hem
Hey baby, look at that sway back. hehehe
I love it styled with a red belt and a vintage red purse too! I think it needs a belt to make the waist defined.
Have I told you how in love with this dress I am? Classic Monsters AND Classic 50s styling?
TO DIE FOR GLAMOR!
I am already finding things in the DIY closet to wear it with. This jacket is a shortened version of a Simplicity 40 repro. (Originally made to wear with the Blondie Dress) I think it looks cute with the Monster Dress. I also think it's cute with that 50s green bolero I made last year.
Can I come to your party darlings? It will be a SCREEEEEEEEAM!
muhahahaha!
I think the purse is a quick sew pattern. It is supposed to be bigger, but I did not have enough material left to make it original size. So I folded the pattern down until it fit the scrap that I had.
Inside has pockets and a magnetic snap closure

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWWW! Wow! You look so intensely good! This dress is fuckin' right on!
